Cathie Gill, Inc. announced today that Cathie Gill, the principal broker, and Shoji Tokushima, Sales Manager of the firm was featured in an interview on AM 570 Business Radio.
Cathie Gill started the interview by talking about the current trends in the real estate market. "Some of the current
real estate trends seem to be the increasing number of first time buyers, a robust economy leading to a very strong real
estate market and the increasing awareness of the importance of technology in the real estate industry. In the last few
years, first time buyers accounted for 42 percent of all home sales" explained Cathie Gill. Shoji Tokushima then came in
to talk about the importance of technology in the real estate industry. "We are launching our new website this month and
hope to increase the number of hits on our website. We understand the diversity of the Metropolitan Washington DC, and
we will have various languages on our website. If English is not your native language, you can usually find somebody
in our office who speaks your language." Cathie Gill and Shoji Tokushima continued to stress the importance of a real
estate agent. "Although the technology is advancing to a point where it is possible for buyers and sellers to buy or
sell their home themselves, we recommend that you contact a professional real estate agent. Real Estate agents have
knowledge and the experience in the real estate market and you will find that 87 percent of web home shoppers still use
an agent to close the transaction. It is very difficult for buyers and sellers to determine what the market value of a
property is, and we can help them make good judgments. Buying a home is the biggest investment people make in their lives
and you do not want to make a mistake. For sellers, you want to make sure you get top dollar for your home."
