John was born and raised in Washington, DC, literally growing up around the real estate business. This local insight and knowledge of both the real estate industry and Washington's diverse neighborhoods endows him with a unique ability to find his clients, whether renters new to town or seasoned buyers, their ideal home. He specializes in creating specific marketing plans that ensure each property its full exposure. John is known for creativity, diligence, excellent people skills and a passion for Washington real estate; as buyers, sellers & renters who have worked with John will attest, he provides his clients with a superior level of service.

Prior to joining Cathie Gill, Inc., John worked as a residential real estate agent in Santa Barbara, California. He also worked for Madison Retail Group, the William Morris Agency, NBC and ran his own film and television production company. John holds a BA in English from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and is currently enrolled in the master's degree program in Real Estate Studies at Georgetown University, which has included a semester of study at the London School of Economics. He resides in Georgetown.
